Basic Element est un groupe d'Eurodance suédois fondé en 1993. A l'origine produit par CESAR ZAMINI jusqu'en 1996 et en suite par STEFAN ANDERSSON. Les premiers membres sont Peter THELENIUS (M.C.) qui est à l'origine du projet, accompagné de Zetma PRENBO (chant) remplacée en 1995 par Saunet SPARRELL (chant) et en 1998 par Marie FREDRIKSSON (chant)et finalement remplacée par Andrea MYRANDER.
Aujourd'hui, Peter Thelenius alias PETRUS, chanteur et leader du groupe est encore là... Il est accompagné de Jonas Wesslander ainsi que d'Andrea Myrander
