Le car spotting (littéralement : « observateur de voiture ») est une activité consistant à prendre des clichés de voitures de luxe ; on appelle celui qui la pratique un car spotter.
Activité
Cette activité consiste à photographier les plus belles et chères voitures du monde croisées dans la rue. Le but est d’obtenir l’exclusivité : être le premier à voir telle ou telle voiture, ou encore être le seul à avoir photographié une voiture produite à peu d’exemplaires.
Certains observateurs sont de simples amateurs qui, après avoir remarqué une voiture de luxe prennent une photo et la partagent. Mais certains se rendent dans les lieux idéaux comme les quartiers de luxe des grandes villes, devant les hotels de luxe, etc.
