Transformers : Génération 1

Brawl apparaît pour la première fois dans l'épisode La brigade de Starscream où il est justement créé par celui-ci. Starscream crée à partir de véhicules de guerre une armée de robot pour détrôner Mégatron. Il leur donne le nom de Combaticans. Dans l'équipe, il y a : Brawl,Onslaught, Vortex, Swindle et Blast Off. Brawl attaque alors Mégatron avec ses camarades. Ils fusionnent créant Bruticus. Bruticus bat rapidement Devastator mais se fait avoir par surprise par Menasor. Mégatron les envoie alors en exil dans l'espace, mais Brawl met au point un plan pour s'échapper. Ils attaquent Cybertron et neutralisent Shockwave. Starscream n'avait plus aucun contrôle sur les combaticans. Allié avec les Autobots, Mégatron élimine Bruticus et promet à Optimus prime de l'envoyer à la casse. Mais Mégatron change d'idée et reprogramme les combaticans de façon à ce qu'ils lui obéissent. Brawl devient alors un Deceptican au service de Mégatron.

Il est supérieur à grand nombre de ses adversaires, Brawl se transforme en Char.

Transformers (Film)

Brawl réaparait dans cette version toujours en tant que Decepticon. Il est l'arme de destruction massive des Decepticons.

Brawl faisait partie des Decepticons qui accompagnèrent Starscream sur terre pour retrouver le Allspark et Mégatron. Brawl est brièvement vu durant la bataille de Mission city où il affrontait Jazz, Ratchet et Ironhide en même temps. Il est vaincu et est cru mort par les Autobots. Il se releva toutefois et élimina plusieurs militaires tout en faisant de nombreux dégâts dans la ville. Plus tard, Bumblebee attaqua Brawl à distance en lui tirant dans le dos. Ce dernier ne put se protéger quand un laser atteignit son spark et le détruisit. Brawl tomba à terre et ne se releva pas une deuxième fois. Son corps est déposé dans l'abysse Laurenssien avec ceux de ses camarades vaincus (Mégatron, Blackout et Bonecrusher).
