Belly Button

Belly Button est un groupe de jazz-core originaire de Bordeaux, fondé en 1994 et dissous en 1998[1],[2],[3].

Le groupe est un duo basse-batterie, atypique, qui lui confère ce son unique et si particulier, qui a marqué la scène rock française. Les nombreux riffs de basse répondent ou se marient aux rythmes imposés par la batterie. Les ambiances passent des sonorités médoliques aux sons rageurs, énergiques ou saccadés, quand les variations font ressortir toutes les douleurs ou le besoin de crier des compositeurs. Le duo navigue en entre rock, noise, avec de touches de groovy. Tout ceci est également agrémenté de petits interludes musicaux.

Après avoir sortit de nombreux 7″, le groupe sort deux albums avant de se séparer. Témoignage de leur talent, subsistent Both (chez Vicious Circle) et Debeso (chez PIAS)[4],[5].
