Albert Brandenburg (1835-1886) a été maire de Bordeaux de 1878 à 1884.
Biographie
Né à Bordeaux en 1835, il est le fils de Georges Brandenburg, de nationalité allemande, admis à domicile à Bordeaux en 1841, ce dernier bénéficiait ainsi des droits civils sans être naturalisé. Albert Brandenburg se marie en 1862 avec Anne Chaumel fille de négociant[1].
Carrière
La première ligne de tramway de Bordeaux, avec une traction hippomobile, est inaugurée le 4 mai 1880[2]par Albert Brandenbourg.
