Érope
Dans la mythologie grecque, Érope ou Ærope ou Aéropé est la fille de Catrée. Elle passe, selon les auteurs, pour la femme d'Atrée ou de Plisthène, et pour la mère d'Agamemnon et de Ménélas.
Selon la version la plus répandue, Érope, mariée à Atrée, est amoureuse de son beau-frère Thyeste. Lorsque son mari lui confie la Toison d'or, elle la donne à son tour à Thyeste. Celui-ci, par ruse, amène son frère à promettre que seul le détenteur de la Toison d'or pourra désormais régner sur Mycènes. Le serment fait, Thyeste s'empare du trône.
Elle a un fils de Thyeste appelé Tantale.
