Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band est le nom du premier album solo de l'artiste japonaise d'avant-garde et veuve de John Lennon, Yoko Ono sorti le 11 décembre 1970.
Paru conjointement au disque de John Lennon portant le même titre, ce premier album de Yoko Ono est son jumeau. Visuel identique, mêmes musiciens, seul le style diffère. Yoko Ono nous livre une musique d'avant-garde, aux contours improvisés. Elle révèle sa volonté farouche d'innover en matière de rock. Dans cet album, les seules choses qu'on l'entend articuler, sont des cris, des sons déchirants émis du plus profond de sa gorge et de son âme. La musique est à l'image de cette révolution : agressive, non mélodique, improvisée. John Lennon fait sonner sa guitare comme il ne l'avait encore jamais fait. On trouve même un duo avec l'orchestre du musicien de free jazz Ornette Coleman sur un titre. Le style Yoko Ono, qui sera tant décrié avant d'être reconnu comme étant précurseur de la "new wave", est déjà bien en place, avec une voix plus proche du cri que du chant.
