9° 06′ 00″ N 152° 54′ 00″ E / 9.1000, 152.9000 L'ile de Woodlark ou Woodlark Island est aussi connue sous le nom de Muyuw ou Murua,fait partie des Îles Trobriand, dans la Province de Milne Bay en Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée. Le langage de l'île est le Muyuw.
Operation Chronicle est le nom donné par les forces alliés pour le débarquement sur les iles de Woodlark et Kiriwina le 30 juin 1943 pendant la seconde guerre mondiale. En quelques mois, les forces américaines construisirent un grand aéroport à "Guasopa Bay", connu d'abord comme l'aéroport de Woodlark puis de Guasopa.
