En 1992, l'auteur anglo saxon David Gemmell sort le deuxième opus de l'histoire de Waylander, appartenant lui même au Cycle Drenaï, baptisé Waylander II "In the Realm of the wolf" (Dans le royaume du loup), sorti en France aux éditions Bragelonne en novembre 2004. Il est intéressant de voir dans ce tome le lien que Waylander entretient avec Ulric et Tenaka Khan
