A Guy Called Gerald est le nom d'artiste du DJ mancunien Gerald Simpson, né le 16 février 1967 et résidant actuellement à Berlin.
Simpson a remixé des chansons pour Tricky, David Bowie et les Stone Roses. Il a travaillé avec Scratchbeat Masters, Deee-Lite (en 1997) et faisait partie du groupe 808 State.
La musique composée par Simpson a selon les périodes exploré différents styles et genres (house, acid house, jungle, drum'n'Bass, deep house et dub).
L'un de ses classiques, Voodoo Ray, fait partie de la bande sonore originale du jeu Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (programmé sur la radio SFUR).
