Twin Piston Chamber (abréviation : TPC) est une technologie développée par Manitou, concernant les amortisseurs.
Principe
TPC utilise deux pistons indépendants :
- le premier conçu pour le rebond ;
- le second pour la compression et le blocage de l'amortisseur/fourche.
Evolution : TPC+
Le TPC+ est basé sur le même schéma que le TPC, cependant un troisième piston est inclus. Ce dernier est dédié au changement de résistance à l'enfoncement selon la course effectuée par la fourche/amortisseur. Ainsi sur les premiers centimètres de course la fourche/amortisseur sera très sensible et au fur et à mesure que celle-ci se comprime, l'effort nécessaire à la compression augmente, donc les risques de talonnement diminuent.
