Tōkaidō Main Line
Parcours de la Tokaido Main Line du Japan Railways, voie de chemin de fer empruntant l'ancienne voie du Tōkaidō, prolongé jusqu'à Kobe
La Tōkaidō Main Line (東海道本線, Tōkaidō-honsen?) est la ligne de chemin de fer la plus active des Japan Railways, au Japon. Elle relie Tokyo à Kobe sur une distance de 590 km.
Le Shinkansen suit une voie largement parallèle à la Tōkaidō Main Line.
Le nom de Tōkaidō Main Line est d'ailleurs un leg du passé, qui remonte à une époque antérieure à l'arrivée du Shinkansen. Aujourd'hui, de nombreux tronçons fonctionnent sous des noms différents. Aucun service de transport de passagers ne dessert d'ailleurs aujourd'hui la totalité de la ligne, sauf à recourir à des changements de trains.

La plupart des trains circulant aussi la nuit sur la ligne du Tōkaidō vont de Tokyo jusqu'à l'ouest de Honshū, et parfois même jusqu'à Kyūshū.
