Third Day est un groupe de rock chrétien formé à Atlanta (Georgie, États-Unis) dans les années 1990. Il a été fondé par le chanteur Mac Powel et le guitariste Mark Lee. Le nom du groupe qui signifie "troisième jour" en français, fait référence à la résurrection des morts de Jésus le troisième jour après sa crucifixion. Le groupe a ganhé le Grammy Awards pour le Best Rock Gospel Album en 2005 et 2005, avec les albums Come Together et Wire.

Les fans du groupe sont appelés les Gomers. Gomer est leur nom de famille et ils doivent choisir un prénom. Gomer est le nom de la femme infidèle d'Osée. Dans l'histoire peu importe combien de fois Gomer laisse Osée, Osée la secourt toujours quand elle a des problèmes. Third Day parle de cette histoire dans leur chanson Gomer's Theme.
