The Four est un groupe d'artistes de Glasgow composé de Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh (qui est devenue sa femme), la sœur de celle-ci, Frances MacDonald et James Herbert McNair.

Ils ont fait quelques expositions à Glasgow, Londres, Vienne et Turin où ils montraient des affiches, du mobilier et quelques autres dessins. Ces expositions leur ont permis d'acquérir une réputation (surtout à Mackintosh).
