The Snow Goose est le troisième album du groupe de rock progressif Camel, sorti en 1975. Il connaît un bon succès, se classant en 22e place du hit-parade britannique.

Dans Mirage, la chanson Nimrodel/The Procession/The White Rider était basée sur un personnage du Seigneur des Anneaux, Nimrodel. Étant d'avides lecteurs, les musiciens de Camel décidèrent de continuer dans cette même vague en produisant un nouvel album, cette fois, basé sur un livre. Plusieurs titres furent proposés dont : Siddharta et Le Loup des steppes (version française de Steppenwolf) de Herman Hesse, proposés par le pianiste Peter Bardens, mais aucun de ces ouvrages ne fut finalement retenu. Plus tard, le bassiste Doug Ferguson proposa le livre pour enfant The Snow Goose. Immédiatement, Peter Bardens et Andrew Latimer commencèrent à composer de la musique basée sur ce livre. Dès 1974, Camel interprétait des chansons de cet album qui ne sortit qu'en 1975.
