Le Contrat (The Contract) est un film germano-américain, réalisé par Bruce Beresford, sorti en 2006.

Synopsis

Ray Keene, entraîneur de basket dans un lycée d'une petite ville, part camper en pleine nature avec son fils.

Au même moment, Frank Carden, un tueur à gages à la solde de la CIA est arrêté par la police de l'état de Washington et transféré en prison. Ses associés, des mercenaires ultra entraînés, essaient de le récupérer car, sans Carden, ils ne seront jamais payés. Mais Carden et l'U.S. marshal chargé de sa surveillance ont un accident de voiture et terminent tout près du campement de Keene.

Avant de décéder, le marshal charge Ray Keene de ramener Carden aux autorités. Ray n'a pas le choix. Les hommes de Carden sont à leurs trousses. S'il veut avoir une chance de protéger son fils et de s'en sortir vivant, il doit absolument leur échapper.

Le film censé se dérouler dans une forêt de l'état de Washington a en fait été entièrement tourné en Bulgarie.
