Notes de la pochette
He was born in Kingston on the first of February 1956. Ten years later he was among the local artistes who were billed to entertain guests at the annual West Kingston Charity Ball held at the National Arena. He was not among the big name artistes. No he wasn't. Not until after the Ball. Then came appearances on the visiting Miriam Makeba and Adam Wade shows in Kingston and a tour of the island with Byron Lee and the Dragonaires.
In 1968 the late King Curtis, Johnny Nash and the Sweet Inspirations wended their way into the hearts of Jamaicans at different times and so did he. Every time. Billed as the 'Wonder Boy' Thereafter recording studios became his natural habitat and the results speak for themselves.
"No Man Is An Island" was his first single. And an album of the same name was soon to follow. "I'll Never Fall In Love", "If I Follow My Heart" - the title tune from his second album, "Lips Of Wine" from his third album, "Baby Don't Do It", "Things In Life", "Black Magic Woman", "Let Loving", "What About The Half", "Money In My Pocket", "Silhouette" - his biggest hit to date are but preludes to the tracks of his fourth album. This is Dennis Brown's Best."Notes et références
