Sword of Fargoal est un jeu vidéo écrit par Jeff McCord et publié en 1983 par Epyx. La première version était destinée au Commodore VIC-20 et une version pour le Commodore 64 fut éditée peu de temps après.
Sword of Fargoal est un rogue-like, le joueur contrôlant un guerrier qui tente de retrouver une épée dans des souterrains infestés de monstres. Sword of Fargoal était l'un des premiers jeux vidéo grand public à avoir introduit certains éléments repris plus tard par d'autres rogue-like. Le jeu était également particulièrement dur à vaincre.
A la différence de beaucoup d'autres jeux de ce type, Sword of Fargoal utilisait de véritables graphismes pour représenter son univers et l'action s'effectuait en temps réel.
Une version open source existe pour les ordinateurs actuels, ainsi qu'une version iPhone, iPod Touch et iPad sorties en 2009 et 2010.
