Observatoire de Starkenburg

L'Observatoire de Starkenburg est un observatoire astronomique amateur situé à Heppenheim, en Allemagne. Il a été fondé en 1970 et compte actuellement environ 150 membres.

On y trouve les instruments suivants :

En 1999 et 2003 le Congrès des Radio-Astronomes Européens s'est tenu dans cet observatoire. Les astronomes amateurs de cet observatoire on découvert plus de 40 astéroïdes et participent à la poursuite des astéroïdes géocroiseurs. L'astéroïde (6864) Starkenburg a été nommé en l'honneur de leurs efforts.
