Un pôle d'intérêt commun (de l'anglais « Special Interest Group (SIG) ») désigne une forme d'organisation communautaire pouvant se décliner en thématiques, par groupements d'intérêts économiques ou par catégories sociales.

Le pôle d'intérêt commun peut être soit:

  • informel, il n'y a aucune structure derrière comme une société, une association, etc
  • formel lorsqu'il y a, en soutien, une organisation (société, association, fondation ou autre)
  • aux États-Unis et plus recemment en Europe, ce terme est synonyme de groupe de pression économique ou lobby, sans forcément la connotation péjorative qu'il possède en français.

Internet

Sur les forums en ligne du type usenet, le terme anglais SIG (Special Interest Group) reste usité comme la plupart du vocabulaire anglophone.
