Songwriters Hall of Fame

Le Songwriters Hall of Fame, est une institution dédiée à la promotion de compositeurs talentueux et prometteurs. Il fut fondé en 1969 par Johnny Mercer (un compositeur), Abe Olman et Howie Richmond (deux éditeurs de partitions).

À terme, le Songwriters Hall of Fame devrait s'établir dans un musée, mais n'existe pour le moment qu'en tant que (en) musée virtuel sur le Web.

Section du National Academy of Popular Music (États-Unis), il organise des formations et des congrès, ainsi que distribue des bourses d'études dans le but de favoriser l'émergence de nouveaux talents en composition. Chaque nommé, sélectionné annuellement, reçoit une bourse d'étude.
