Short Stories est un album issu de la collaboration du chanteur Jon Anderson et du musicien Vangelis, associés sous le nom de Jon and Vangelis. Sorti en 1979, il s'agit du premier d'une série de plusieurs albums.
L'album, enregistré en seulement trois semaines, est le fruit de sessions de travail très spontanées, sans doute peu de temps après que Jon Anderson a quitté Yes. La musique semble souvent improvisée derrière le chant de Jon Anderson et l'ensemble n'a pas la cohérence des albums suivants.
La chanson "I hear you now" a été extraite en single et a connu un certain succès en Europe.
