Sharaf al-Dīn al-Tūsī
Sharaf al-Dīn al-Muẓaffar ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Muẓaffar al-Ṭūsī est un mathématicien de langue arabe né en Iran en 1135 et mort en 1213.
Son traité sur les équations cubiques représente une contribution fondamentale à la fondation de la géométrie algébrique. Il se situe dans la lignée de d'Omar Khayyam, poète et mathématicien du siècle précédent.
