Sergey Vavilov

Sergey Ivanovich Vavilov (en russe : Сергей Иванович Вавилов), né le 24 mars 1891 et mort le 25 janvier 1951, était un physicien russe, frère du célèbre généticien Nikolai Vavilov.

Il est connu pour sa découverte, avec Pavel Čerenkov, de l'effet Vavilov-Čerenkov. Il a également été président de l'Académie des sciences de Russie de juillet 1945 à sa mort.
