ScientificCommons est un projet d'accès à des contenus scientifiques numériques accessibles en ligne en accès ouvert (archives ouvertes). Le projet se décrit comme le développement de la plus grande archive de savoirs scientifiques sur Internet dont les textes peuvent être consultés librement en ligne [1]. Il est développé par l'Institut für Medien und Kommunikationsmanagement de l'Université de Saint-Gall.
Cette plate-forme est structurée autour d'un moteur de recherche permettant de trouver noms d'auteurs et publications. L'interface est en anglais et en allemand, du fait de l'origine du projet, conçu dans la Suisse germanophone. Les textes auxquels ScientificCommons donne accès sont bien entendu dans la langue de leur publication.
