Rothmans king size est une marque de cigarette anglaise appartenant au groupe British American Tobacco.
Il existe deux types de cigarettes différentes:
- les paquets rouges anciennement appelés light contenant 8,0 mg de goudrons 0,60 de nicotine 9 mg de monoxyde de carbone
- les autres paquets sont bleus et sont considérés non light; ils contiennent 10,0 mg de goudrons 0,80 de nicotine et 10 mg de monoxyde de carbone.
La marque Rothmans a été créée en Angleterre en 1890.
Une des personnalités très connues fumant des Rhotmans n'est autre que Phil Rudd, batteur du groupe de Hard Rock AC/DC.
Rothmans a aussi été sponsor de l'écurie Williams-Renault de Formule 1 de 1994 à 1997 lors de la motorisation de l'équipe par Renault, ce qui correspondait bien au couleurs demandés par les trois entités.
Cette relation a été fructueuse car l'écurie est devenue championne du monde des pilotes lors des éditions 96 et 97 avec l'anglais Damon Hill (1996) et le canadien Jacques Villeneuve (1997).
