RHS

Right-hand side, souvent noté RHS ou r.h.s., est une expression anglaise qui, de manière générale, est synonyme de second membre d'une équation (ie. la partie droite d'une égalité ou d'une inégalité). L'abréviation anglaise est souvent utilisée en français.

En calcul matriciel, il s'agit d'un vecteur de scalaires (le plus souvent, un vecteur colonne). En programmation mathématique plus particulièrement (voir optimisation et en programmation linéaire), les contraintes sont représentées sous l'une des formes A.x=b,\ x\ge 0 (forme primale) ou A.x\le b (forme duale). Le vecteur RHS est b. Il détermine les bornes de contraintes.
