Le Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) est l'agence de renseignement extérieur de l'Inde. Après la guerre indo-pakistanaise de 1965, s'est fait sentir le besoin de séparer l'Intelligence Bureau, qui traitait les renseignements extérieur et intérieur, en deux organismes indépendants. Le R&AW a été donc créé en septembre 1968.
Ses sièges sociaux sont sur la route entre Lodhi et New Delhi.
Le directeur de l'organisation est (2007) Ashok Chaturvedi, ancien dirigeant de l'Indian Police Service (IPS).
