Publish or Perish est un expression anglaise signifiant littéralement « Publier ou Périr » et utilisée pour décrire la pression et les exigences académiques en matière de publication.

Usage en langue française

L'expression est peu répandue en français, mais la traduction la plus courante en est Publier ou Périr.

La variante Publish or Pourrish, c'est-à-dire Publier ou Pourrir, est une transposition du publish or perish, parfois employée dans le contexte de la recherche académique française, où les chercheurs permanents sont des fonctionnaires d'État dont la carrière risque de stagner s'ils ne justifient pas d'un assez grand nombre de publications.
