Poster Children est un groupe de musique pop américain originaire de Champaign dans l'Illinois, qui a aussi enregistré des albums sous le nom Salaryman.
Admettons l'inexistence du terme « post-rock », Salaryman se serait improvisé parrain du genre. En effet, ces Illinois, anciens Poster Children, ne déparent en rien la scène de Chicago, avec Tortoise et consorts.
Le nom du groupe est une référence à l'expression poster child; en anglais, cette expression désigne une personne qui soutient une cause, qui représente un mouvement ou porte une idée par son image.
