L'adjudant Patrick Tower, ÉVM, CD est un militaire canadien et le premier récipiendaire de l'Étoile de la vaillance militaire, une décoration canadienne de la vaillance militaire, en vertu de ses actes le 3 août 2006 dans la région de Pashmul en Afghanistan, alors qu'il était sergent, commandant de section au 9e peloton du 1er bataillon du Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.

Étoile de la vaillance militaire Le sergent Tower est honoré pour les actes vaillants qu'il a posés le 3 août 2006 dans la région de Pashmul en Afghanistan. Afin de venir en aide à de nombreux soldats blessés à la suite d'une frappe ennemie contre une position amie isolée, le sergent Tower a réuni le médecin de peloton et un autre soldat et les a guidés sur une distance de 150 mètres en terrain découvert, sous le feu nourri de l'ennemi. En apprenant que le commandant de peloton par intérim avait péri, le sergent Tower a immédiatement assumé le commandement, réussissant avec succès à sortir le peloton de sa position sous une pluie continue de tirs d’armes légères et de grenades propulsées par fusée. Grâce au courage et au dévouement désintéressé du sergent Tower, le reste du peloton a eu la vie sauve.
