Le Paris Jazz Roots Dance Festival a été créé pour la première fois en 2005 par l'association BrotherSwing. Ce festival propose des master classes de danse Jazz Roots et autres danses proches, des concerts de Swing, des conférences et expositions.
La danse à l'honneur est le jazz roots, mais le festival permet aussi de découvrir d'autres danses connexes : charleston, afro jazz, claquettes, body percurssion, locking, jazz rock... Comme lors des années passées, et pour sa 5ème édition, le Paris Jazz Roots Dance Festival (JRDF) 2011, qui se déroulera les 18-19-20 mars 2011 promeut des valeurs de convivialité et de partage et entend insuffler une énergie "Rhythm & Soul" sur la capitale.
Les cours
Les cours sont donnés par des professeurs internationaux et parisiens experts dans leur discipline.
Les soirées et concerts
Chaque soir, un concert de jazz / swing rythme le festival. Une grande part est faite aux danseurs, sur la piste de danse, mais aussi sur scène lors de jam sessions endiablées entre danseurs et musiciens.
