Oxbow est une marque française de vêtements, d’accessoires et d’équipements de surf et de snow, créée en France en 1985. Fondée par Fabrice Valéri, un passionné des sports de glisse, et Isabelle Cachot, styliste de mode, la marque s’est développée au contact des plus grands athlètes, à l’image de Laird Hamilton, pionnier du surf tracté, du kitesurf, du foilsurfing ou plus récemment du stand up paddle.

En 1991, Oxbow relance les Championnats du Monde de longboard et se construit une notoriété et une image parmi les plus grandes marques de surfwear. Très engagée en snow, la marque innove en hiver en créant l’événement OXBOW BACK TO POWDER, rassemblant les 12 meilleurs snowboarders et skieurs freestyle du monde. En 2005, l’entreprise est rachetée par le Groupe Lafuma propriétaire des marques de vêtements et d’équipements sportifs Millet, Eider, Ober et Le Chameau.

Très impliquée dans le milieu des sports de glisse et plus précisément dans le backcountry et le freeride, la marque au logo emblématique ‘Four Flower’ se repositionne sur son marché en 2011 en adoptant une nouvelle identité visuelle, une nouvelle signature de marque YOU CAN’T CHEAT NATURE (LA NATURE EST TA SEULE LIMITE), et se construit un nouveau team de riders plus jeunes avec notamment les surfeurs Matt Meola, Kai Lenny, Antoine Delpero et les snowboarders/skiers JP Solberg, Kalle Ohlson ou Julien Lange.

Aujourd’hui, Oxbow est présent dans cinq sports : le surf, le windsurf, le kitesurf, le snowboard et le ski freestyle.
