Otwock est, avec environ 44.000 habitants, la troisième plus grande ville de la banlieue de Varsovie. Elle est située dans la Voïvodie de Mazovie, à 25 Km au sud-est de la capitale.
Otwock a un caractère et une architecture typiquement suburbains. Sur le territoire de la ville se situe la Haute École de Gestion et des Sciences Sociales Wyższa Szkoła Przedsiębiorczości i Nauk Społecznych.
