L'Odéon, situé dans le quartier de la Presqu'île à Lyon, est l'une des trois salles lyonnaises du CNP, classées Art et Essai.
Historique
L'Odéon fut ouvert, après restructuration d'une ancienne salle de spectacle datant du début du siècle, en 1980 sous l'appellation de Groslée, du nom de la rue dans laquelle il est situé, par la société Cinéma national populaire créée par Robert Gilbert et Roger Planchon en 1968[1]. Il est l'un des huit cinémas classés Art et Essai[2] dans la ville de Lyon. En 1998, il est racheté à Planchon, malgré les protestations des salariés, par Galeshka Moravioff qui l'exploite dès lors avec les deux autres salles lyonnaises du CNP. Sa fermeture brutale, après encore dix ans d'activité, en août 2009, trois mois après la disparition de Roger Planchon, avec déménagement clandestin du matériel de projection et du mobilier par son PDG, a suscité l'émoi du personnel et des cinéphiles de la ville de Lyon[1].
