Michael Monroe, né Matti Fagerholm le 17 juin 1962 à Helsinki, est le chanteur du groupe finlandais Hanoi Rocks.
En octobre 2008, Michael et Andy décident de dissoudre Hanoi Rocks afin de poursuivre leur route séparément, permettant désormais à Michael de s'exprimer au gré de sensibilité. Ils ont en effet le sentiment d'avoir poussé leur collaboration à la limite du possible et préfèrent se consacrer à leurs carrières respectives. Michael prépare actuellement de nouveaux titres pour son prochain album solo.
Il fut également le chanteur du side-project Demolition 23.
Il est aussi surnommé "High in the Sky".
