Matveï Blanter

Matveï Isaakovitch Blanter (en russe : Матвей Исаакович Блантер) né à Potchep (aujourd'hui dans l'oblast de Briansk) le 10 février [v.s. 28 janvier] 1903 et décédé à Moscou le 27 septembre 1990, était un compositeur russe et soviétique.

Né dans une famille de pauvres artisans juifs, Blanter devint l'un des plus importants compositeurs de musique populaire et de musique de film de l'Union soviétique. Il fut un compositeur actif jusqu'en 1975, composant plus de deux mille chansons. Il écrivit notamment la musique de Katioucha en 1938, qui connut un immense succès.

Il fut récompensé par le titre de Héros du travail socialiste.
