Malaïka, qui signifie "ange" en kiswahili, est une chanson qui fut en premier enregistrée par le musicien kénian Fadhili William et son groupe les Jambo Boys en 1960. La parenté de la chanson est généralement attribuée à Fadhili William, mais celle-ci est discutée.
Elle fut plus tard réenregistrée aux Equator Sound Studios par le britannique d'origine kennyane Charles Worrod, qui assura la renommée internationale de la chanson. Elle fut notamment popularisée par des artistes tels que The Brothers Four, Helmut Lotti, Hep Stars, Rocco Granata, Miriam Makeba, Harry Belafonte, Pete Seeger, Boney M et Angélique Kidjo.
