En 1883, la première station de sauvetage a été construite en Mablethorpe. La station s'est poursuivi jusqu'à la Première Guerre mondiale, alors temporairement fermée en raison de ne pas avoir un équipage. Après la guerre, la station a été fermée définitivement en raison d'un manque d'équipe jusqu'en 1965 lorsque l'embarcation de sauvetage côtier (ILB) a été mis en place. La ville a un nouveau station de sauvetage[1].
