Le Montpellier Water-Polo est un club de water polo de Montpellier, évoluant en Championnat de France de water polo.

Historique

Pour prendre le relais de la section en faillite du Montpellier Université Club[2], Christophe Spilliaert, fils de Marcel Spilliaert, et sa mère Louise fondent le Montpellier Water-Polo en 1998[3]. Le premier en devient le président et la seconde la trésorière[2].

Pour la saison du championnat de France élite 2008-2009, son budget de 300 000 euros[4].

Palmarès

Le MWP a remporté deux Coupes de France en juin 2008 et septembre 2008[5].
