Kuwasi Balagoon (1946-1986) est un membre du Black Panther Party, puis de la Black Liberation Army, qui évolua vers l'anarchisme.
Biographie
Arrêté en avril 1969 et inculpé d'association de malfaiteurs en vue de commettre des actes terroristes, il est acquitté avec l'ensemble des Panther 21 en mai 1971. Il est cependant capturé et condamné pour divers crimes par la suite, et a passé la plupart des années 1970 en prison. Balagoon s'est échappé de la prison plusieurs fois, se cachant et reprenant l'activité de BLA.
Condamné à la prison à vie pour sa participation au braquage de la Brink's de 1981, il est mort de la pneumonie de pneumocystose, une maladie liée au SIDA, le 13 décembre 1986.
Balagoon était bisexuel[1].
