Kunshan (昆山 ; pinyin : Kūnshān) est une ville de la province du Jiangsu en Chine. C'est une ville-district placée sous la juridiction administrative de la ville-préfecture de Suzhou. Kunshan est un cas emblématique d'une zone franche chinoise qui connait une croissance spectaculaire (notamment grâce à sa position sur un axe Shanghai-Nankin). Kunshan illustre la deuxième vague de délocalisations qu'a connue la Chine.
Démographie
La population du district était de 588 865 habitants en 1999[2], de 650 000 en 2004, et de 1 300 000 en 2006.[réf. nécessaire]
Education
L'université Duke et l'Université Jiao-tong de Shanghai (en chinois, 上海交通大学) ainsi que le gouvernement municipal de Kunshan se sont associés pour ouvrir un campus en 2011 qui sera principalement composé d'une école de commerce.
