Kailua-Kona
Kailua-Kona (9 870 habitants en 2000) est une census-designated place, une ville de la côte occidentale dans le comté d'Hawaï dans le district de Kona nord, sur l'île d'Hawaï. Son nom officiel est Kailua mais son bureau de poste est appelé Kailua-Kona et la ville est appelée parfois Kona dans le langage courant pour la différencier de Kailua, une autre ville située sur l'île d'Oahu.
C'est le centre commercial, industriel et touristique de l'Ouest d'Hawaï. La ville est desservie par l'aéroport international de Kona.
Kailua-Kona a été la ville la plus proche de l'épicentre du tremblement de terre en 2006 à Hawaï.
