The King of Comedy est un film hong-kongais réalisé par Stephen Chow et Lee Lik-Chi, sorti le 13 février 1999.
Synopsis
Wan Tin-Sau se dit acteur. En fait, il survit en faisant quelques apparitions dans des productions diverses et variées. Malgré les difficultés, il reste passionné par le cinéma et aime en parler pour partager son art. Il enseigne ainsi la comédie gratuitement, mais à part une ou deux personnes âgées et quelques enfants, personne n'est jamais venu lui demander conseil. Jusqu'au jour où des escort-girls viennent lui rendre visite afin qu'il leur explique comment mieux plaire à leurs clients. C'est ainsi qu’il fait la connaissance de la jolie Lau Piu-Piu.
