John Paul Meier
John P. Meier est un prêtre catholique américain, spécialiste en exégèse.
Il a fait ses études au séminaire Saint-Joseph, où il devient bachelor of Art (équivalent à la licence) en 1964, puis est licencié en Théologie en 168 à la Grégorienne à Rome, et enfin en 1976, à l'Institut pontifical biblique, il obtient un doctorat en Écriture Sainte.
Il a été rédacteur de The Catholic Biblical Quarterly et président de The Catholic Biblical Association. Il a enseigné à la The Catholic University of America à Washington DC
Il est professeur de Nouveau Testament au Département de théologie de l'Université de Notre Dame dans l'Indiana.
