John Boydell né le 19 janvier 1720 et mort le 12 décembre 1804 est un éditeur anglais du XVIIIe siècle spécialisé dans les reproductions gravées. Il contribua à redresser le déséquilibre du commerce de la gravure entre la France et l’Angleterre et fut à l’origine d’une école de gravure anglaise. Il fut également Lord-Maire de Londres.
