Jeremy Silman (né le 28 août 1954 à Del Rio aux États-Unis) est un maître international du jeu d'échecs de nationalité américaine, auteur de plus de 35 livres, la plupart sur le jeu d'échecs mais aussi sur les jeux de casino. Il a été le consultant pour le film Harry Potter à l'école des sorciers en 2001 pour lequel il a supervisé les coups joués lors du tournage des parties d'échecs[1]. Il a contribué aux magazines New in Chess[2], Chess Life et Players Chess News.
Il a remporté l'US Open en 1981, l'American Open et le National Open et a été l'entraîneur de l'équipe nationale américaine junior.
Il a obtenu le titre de maître international en 1988.
