Jayakanthan (tamoul : ஜெயகாந்தன்) (né le 24 avril 1934) est un écrivain tamoul, essayiste, journaliste, pamphlétaire, réalisateur de films et critique. C'est un iconoclaste, qui a ridiculisé les anomalies de la société ; il est connu pour ses idées audacieuses et révolutionnaires. Il a reçu le prix Padma Bhushan en 2009.
