L'île de Iōjima (硫黄島?) ou Satsuma Iōjima (薩摩硫黄島?) se situe au sud du Japon. D'une superficie de 12 km², elle est surplombée d'un volcan actif sous la mer et sur terre. 150 habitants y vivent grâce à la pêche et à la culture.
