Le Fonds international pour la protection des animaux (IFAW en anglais pour International Fund for Animal Welfare) est une ONG de protection animale dotée du statut consultatif spécial auprès du Conseil économique et social des Nations unies.
Elle fut fondée en 1969 au Canada dans le but de mettre un terme à la chasse commerciale du phoque du Groenland et du phoque à capuchon sur la côte est. Aujourd'hui, l'IFAW siège à Cape Cod au Massachusetts et est une des plus importantes organisation de protection animale au monde avec des bureaux en Australie, Canada, Chine, Belgique, France, Allemagne, Inde, Japon, Afrique de l'est, Amérique latine, Pays-bas, Russie, Afrique du Sud et Royaume-Uni.
Les campagnes internationales de l'IFAW sont centrées sur la fourniture d'aide d'urgence aux animaux en détresse, la protection des baleines, des éléphants et des phoques ainsi que la lutte contre le trafic d'animaux.
